1. Confirm Customer Eligibility

  1. Customer must reside in Texas and receive electric service from El Paso Electric
  2. Single Family Homes (1-4 units)
  3. Multifamily Homes (more than 4 units) - Must be individually metered
  4. For Income Qualified incentives, customer must meet Low Income requirements and provide Income Eligibility form and supporting documentation

2. Provide a Written Quote

  1. Contractor must provide the customer with a written quote that includes all work materials before any work is done. http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0242-hiring-contractor

3. Project Notification/Schedule Inspections

  1. Notify CLEAResult and El Paso Electric of upcoming projects before projects are initiated, as well as to schedule pre- and post-installation inspections.
  2. All contractors must schedule pre- and post-installation inspections for their first three projects annually.
  3. All contractors must schedule inspections for at least 15% of submitted projects after their initial three inspections.

4. To Qualify Energy Star® LED Bulbs

  1. A19, Candelabra, MR16, R20 & BR30 are eligible
  2. Only LED bulbs found on Energy Star product finder are eligible (https://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-light-bulbs)
  3. Removed bulbs must be collected by contractor

5. Complete Rebate Application

  1. Indicate wattage of removed bulb
  2. Indicate wattage, lumens and hours of life of new bulbs

6. Submit Required Documentation for Payment of Each Project

    1. Must submit within 45 days of installation:
  1. Rebate Application
  2. Copy of receipt or invoice

7. Quality Control/Quality Assurance
